SEEK AND FIND

It's nice to be able to mix up your way of creating images and being inspired. A lot of the time my images are sitting in my head like an idea that I need to make. I then go seek them out by driving around, biking, scouting and planning out timing/details of all involved. The other half of the time they are captured by spontaneity and simply just keeping my eyes open in different environments. For me, both ways are fulfilling and rewarding. It keeps the adventure and thrills moving forward. So if your ways of dealing/creating is getting a little to mechanical or not mechanical enough, then switch it up a bit. See what you can do under some new constrains or off the hip.

This photo was taken at random while hanging out the back of a jeep and driving down the exit ramp at the Portland airport.

This is my first abstract painting. It was done on two doors with plaster, paint and a rag. The entire piece took about two weeks and now hangs in our house.
