This is such an amazing street art project going on in NYC that I thought is worth sharing.

"To commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, street artist WK collaborates with New York firefighters to create a massive street mural (100 meters long) full of passion and motion. The iconic firefighter, NY's "bravest", symbolizes the many heroes that helped New York survive the tragic events of 2001, and turn it into the City that inspired the whole world."

THIRTY ONE

The middle of this month, August 15th, was my thirty-first birthday. Each year, on or around that day, I have my wife, Rebekah, take my portrait. I enjoy this tradition because I get to look back over the changes each year. Hopefully, I can keep up the tradition well into my late years of life. This year my birthday was celebrated in our little city at a local pub called Rogue Brewery. This year and especially this summer have been filled with busyness. Yes, and filled in the ways that make me so excited for the fall. I really enjoy the summer but we seem to get lost in the busy/laziness summer creates in the NW. My photography work has been up and down with the times and I have been pursuing more work on the east coast where I have other contacts. However, my personal work has been very exciting and inspiring for me to create. I will be working very hard this year to grow and establish a new body of personal work that I would love to align with commercial jobs. Also this year I will be photographing all the content for a coffee book project called BARISTA TABLE. This has been a very large scale project that I needed to strip down and simplify in order to work on practically. On that note, I couldn't be more thankful for everything in my life, for the new opportunities ahead, for the new people I will meet and the challenges that await. Thank you to everyone for the support and following my work.
