Over the past few months I have had the pleasure of meeting and now working with some of the most amazing local bridal designers and artists. Dorene Vandermeer veil designer, Sarah Seven gown designer, Makeup by Austie Eckley and the model is Anna Adams. Besides the amazing talents these woman have, they have such gracious and kind hearts for helping and encouraging people and their businesses. I was so excited that we did this shoot to represent everyone's work. The weather for it couldn't have been better for the dreary, dramatic mood I wanted to capture and create. Thank you ladies for the work you do and I can't wait to continue working together in the future.

The skies in Portland are always amazing to me and whenever I see a beautiful one I take a photo with my iPhone. So when we shot John & Briana's photo shoot I was thrilled that one of our locations had a perfect sky for them. Jon & Briana are among the busiest couples I have met but finding the time for their photo shoot was well spent. It was a very cold day filled with a perfect elements. Photographing them was wonderful. Briana has such a beautiful, strong and passionate look and Jon being the true gentleman that he is gave frequent compliments to Briana throughout the entire photo shoot on how beautiful she is. It was sweet. I very much look forward to there wedding this summer.

I never would expect perfect weather for a February wedding in Portland but Jonathan and Colsey's day was nothing but sunshine. Their wedding was held at a quiet little church in Sellwood and the reception was at the beautiful Waverley golf club (originally first opened in 1896). Jonathan & Cosley both have one of those great and contagious smiles that can just light up a room and those around them. Playful and interactive for their portrait session, the couple's real and passionate connection made for some artistic images. As a gift for their first dance, Jonathan surprised Colsey with a original song that he wrote on his guitar and then recorded. It was such a great song and a wonderful display of Jonathan's love for his bride and his gift for playing music.

This is Greg from 94/7fm Alternative Portland. Greg has more passion for music then any one I have ever met. In the very early AM hours Greg is awake and working at the radio station. After that he head over to his music studio in SE Portland where he runs a record label called Arena Rock Recording Company. The first time I met Greg I was walking the halls of the studio building and his door was open so I glanced inside and he said hi with a big smile. He is very nice guy who loves cats, runs a lot and is always up for grabbing a beer at one of the local breweries. He never ever has his photos taken but today he was up for the task and did a great job.
Thanks Greg

Two amazing sisters with a wonderful story. Austie & Selena are sisters that met for the first time when they were thirteen and sixteen years old. Growing up in two different households, Austie and Selena had always been curious about each other. After a tragic family event Austie wanted to be near her sister so she went out and found her. The sisters were twenty three and twenty six when they reunited. Now they live a happy life with their husbands here in Portland. Meeting Austie and Selena was a very special treat for me. They came in to the studio for their portrait session with open arms and a open heart as they shared their story with me. As I listened to them I was once again reminded why I love my job so much and why people's stories are so fascinating. Seeing now the close bond that they are currently building is nothing short of a miracle. Austie is currently running her own business as a makeup artist and creative director and does amazing work. Selena is a school counselor and loves reaching out and helping people. Thank you ladies for being who you are today. You truly are a blessing and I look forward to growing our friendship.

This has been the view lately from inside our apartment looking out the windows into the snow. It was taken on my Canon 1D Mark III at night @ ISO 3200

A few days ago right before the snow came piling down Rebekah and I escaped out to the Gorge for some outdoor falling snow photos and to enjoy the beautiful winter elements. We love it how the contrast of the snow make the bare and beautiful trees pop off the ground. Finding the most out of all four seasons makes living here a real blessing.

This year for our christmas cards we wanted to do something creative and inspirational that was a little different than a normal christmas card. My wife wrote this amazing reflective piece of writing that is simply beautiful. I am very proud of her for putting herself and her personal writing out there for people to read. I hope you are as blessed by it as I am. Have a wonderful holiday everyone and Merry Christmas.
